New Mercedes E - Class 2016
Mercedes-Benz E-Class is cooking latest. Reportedly, the car will be launched at the Detroit Motor Show 2016 will be held in January 2016.
It was confirmed by the Head of Design Mercedes-Benz, Gorden Wagener as reported by Autocar, Friday (11/20/2015).
Reportedly, the fifth-generation premium sedan will adopt the design language already seen in Mercedes C-Class and S-Class. However, the interior will be modern again.
This sedan will have two 12-inch screen, twin analog dial and will look like the S-Class.
E-Class will use modular platrofm MRA. By using high-strength steel and aluminum, is expected this car 100 kg lighter.
There are several types of machines offered the variant of diesel and gasoline engines. The latest 2.0-liter diesel engine is available in two versions reported. While the other engine is the 3.0 liter diesel engine, six-cylinder petrol engine and a 2.0 liter turbocharged petrol engine which is coupled to an electric motor on the variant E350e plug-in hybrid.
The highest variant, the E63 AMG, is expected to be launched late next year. The car is likely powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine of 4.0 liter with power reaches 592 horsepower.
Nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive is added to the lineup would be the choice for consumers.
E-Class models in 2017 is offered with the sedan form in the early stages. Followed by the real versions, coupe and cabrio.
